Henry Norman Bialas, M.D., 80, of Wyomissing, died December 24, 2012 in Mifflin Center.
He was the husband of Cecilia (Barna) Bialas, whom he married June 15, 1957.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Julian and Kathryn (Rzucidlo) Bialas.
He was a 1949 graduate of Reading High School; a 1953 graduate of Albright College and received his Doctorate from Temple University Medical School in 1957.
Henry worked as a general practitioner for 42 years, retiring in 2001. He was the Wyomissing School District Doctor for 31 years; the medical director for the Reading Convalescent/Spruce Manor and for 23 years at Berks Heim, 13 as Medical Director.
He was a member of the American Medical Association, the PA Medical Society and The Polish Falcons.
Henry was a member of St. John the Baptist de la Salle, Shillington.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Cynthia D., wife of Stephen Cherrybon, Quakertown and Diane L. Wright, Saco ME and his son, Brian H., husband of Teresita M. Bialas, Virginia Beach, VA. Also surviving is his sister, Lillian Landau, Wyomissing. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive him.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, Adam Bialas and Edward Bialas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Gethsemane Chapel, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
