Henriette L. Corbit

Henriette L. Corbit, 85, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, in the care of Berks Heim. She was the loving wife of John H. Corbit, with whom she would have celebrated 65 years of marriage on September 14.

Born in Reading to the late Walter and Kathryn (Schnur) Kolditz, Henriette graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1955. She later attended the McCann School of Business. As a young woman, she worked as a secretary for Royal Typewriter of Reading. Later in life she handled secretarial work for her husband's business, John H Corbit, Inc. Mechanical Contractor.

Henriette was a dedicated orchidist for over 35 years.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband, John; their daughter, Andrea Light, widow of Randall Light, of Murrells Inlet, SC; granddaughters Sara and Katie; and great grandchildren McKena and Luke. Henriette was predeceased by her son, John Corbit Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1009 Elizabeth Ave, Reading, PA 19605. Committal will be held privately.
