Henrietta Kopteros

Henrietta Kopteros, 88, of Spring Township passed away October 10, 2008 in Reading Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of Frank Kopteros for 66 years.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Carmella (Gregorio) Venezia.

Henrietta was a homemaker for most of her years; last working as a seamstress before her retirement.

She was a 1939 graduate of Reading High School.

Mrs. Kopteros was a dedicated, active member of the Lincoln Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

In addition to her husband, those left to cherish her memory are a son, John M., husband of Marcia Kopteros; and two daughters, Carole A., wife of Spencer Wertz; and Christine, wife of Michael Batastini.

There are 7 grandchildren: Scott M. Wertz, Kristen L. (Wertz) Guiles, Shelly A (Wertz) Wendeln, Deana M. (Batastini) Kostick, Desiree A. (Kopteros) Lewars, Marlo L (Kopteros) Coldren and Michael J. Kopteros. Twelve great-grandchildren also survive her.

Henrietta was predeceased by a granddaughter Candace E. Wertz, two great-grandsons, a sister, Florence Hemmig, and two brothers, John Venezia and Joseph Venezia.

Services will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
