Helen Zawistowski

Helen Zawistowski, 94, formerly of Dickson City PA, St. Petersburg FL and Wilmington DE, died Sept. 12, 2008 at the residence of her daughter in Sinking Spring PA. She is the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Szarek) Magdon of Dickson City PA and the widow of Fabian Zawistowski who died March 8, 1960 in Harrison, NJ. Helen is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Magdon, and sisters Wanda Maksinski, Irene Ziebro and Elizabeth Kotowicz. A sister, Amelia King, died Sept. 13, 2008.

She is survived by her daughter Joan, wife of John Kuzio of Sinking Spring and 3 granddaughters, one great grandson and a sister. They are Monique Valbuena and son Quentin Deppe (Chad Haverfield), and Erica (Daniel) Ademski of Wilmington DE., Mylene Valbuena (Justin Holthaus) of San Diego CA and sister Marion (Joseph) Castellani of Dickson City PA.

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday September 22, 2008 at 11 AM in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield. A visitation will be held in the church from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Helen will be buried alongside her husband in a private service at Holy Cross Cemetary, North Arlington, NJ.

The family wish to thank Compassionate Care Hospice of Wilmington DE and Wyomissing PA for their support. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Helen's name.
