Helen M. Walborn

Helen M. (Yaklich) Walborn, 60, of Bernville, passed away September 28, 2016, in Penn State Health St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late William and Marguerite (Suklje) Yaklich.

She was the wife of Thomas M. Walborn whom she married on September 11, 1996.

Helen was a 1973 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School.

She was employed by W. R. Grace as a quality control and customer service representative for 24 years and then joined the family business, T&C Market of Leesport, as co-owner/operator in 1996.

Helen was a volunteer and teacher for the ready, set, read program at Schuylkill Valley Middle School. She dabbled in art and oil painting. Helen was a participant in the Thursday morning golf league at Willow Hollow Golf Course. Christmas was her favorite season, dragging Tom anywhere there were Christmas themed items for sale.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three step children: Eric T., husband of Caitlin Walborn, West Reading; Jenna L., wife of Dana Smith, New Orleans; and Corey J. Walborn, Spring Township; three sisters: Katherine, wife of Thomas Kane, West Lawn; Wilma "Peggy", wife of Edwin Haag, Mohnton; and Frances, wife of George Stofko, Alsace Township; and one step granddaughter, Athena Walborn.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
