Helen T. Steber

Helen T. Steber, 82, of Willow Street died Oct. 17 at 1:45 a.m. in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where she had resided since January.

Her husband, John J. Steber, died in April 1993.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Miklos and Mary (Kollar) Stofko.

Steber was employed for 15 years as a supervisor by Berkshire Knitting Mills, Wyomissing, and was last employed as jewelry manager by Jetco, Reading, from 1970 to 1980.

She was a graduate of St. Peter High School, Reading,

Steber was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Reading, where she was secretary-treasurer of the Holy Family Guild.

Surviving is a son, Dr. John M., Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a sister, Frances (Stofko) Miller, Reiffton; three grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in SS. Cyril & Methodius Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
