Helen F. Scrobe

Helen Frances Scrobe, 87, of Muhlenberg Township, died June 18, 2007 at 6:45 pm in St. Joseph Medical Center.

She was the widow of Daniel Victor Scrobe, who died March 28, 2004.

Born December 16, 1919 in Reading, PA, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Katarzyna (Biala) Latusek.

She was employed a number of years as a sales clerk with Boscov's Department Store, Muhlenberg Township.

Helen was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

She is survived by a son, Daniel V. Jr., husband of Elaine L. (Slothour) Scrobe of Midlothian, VA.

Other survivors include four grandchildren, Daniel V. III husband of Tammy J. (Swavely) Scrobe of Fleetwood, Melissa R. wife of Richard Yannitell of Germany, Jonathan E. Scrobe of Edgewater Park, N.J. and Stephen D. Scrobe of Midlothian, VA.

There are also two great granddaughters, Caitlyn E. Scrobe and Kennedy Scrobe.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3125 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605. A viewing will be held one hour prior to Mass in the church.
