Helen G. Pettis

Helen G. Pettis, 88, of Spring Township, died March 7, 2009 in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township.

Born May 28, 1920 in Ephrata, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Ignatios and Triandafila (Kordopadis) Pettis.

She was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School.

Helen was employed a number of years with the Reading School District.

She was a member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Reading, where she was a choir member and a member of the Philoptochos Society.

Helen is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary C. (Carnoles) Pettis of Spring Township. She is predeceased by her brother, Christ I. Pettis, who passed away October of 2008.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, E. Wyomissing Blvd & Parkside Drive South, Reading, PA 19611. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
