Helen E. Miller

Helen E. Miller, 95, of Mifflin Center and formerly of Hummingbird Hill Apartments and Pittston, died March 29, 2008 in the Reading Hospital.

Her husband Joseph A. Miller died September 16, 1979. They were married on August 3, 1940.

Born in Pittston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary A. (Andrulaitis) Evanosky.

She was a floor supervisor for General Cigar Factory, Kingston for 15 years.

Helen was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir.

Mrs. Miller was an election inspector for many years in West Pittston. She was also a member of the Reiffton Ladies Auxiliary.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce A. (Miller) Frangipane, Spring Twp.; and her son, Joseph A. Miller, Jr., Corning , NY. Five grandchildren, Kristin George, Allyson Andrisani, Amy Graham, Sarah Gawthrop and Karen Simpson; and nine great-grandchildren also survive her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Church, 420 Holland Street, Shillington, PA 19607. Burial will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Pittston. Friends may call Wednesday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's Church at the above address.
