Helen T. Marabella, 97, of Parkside Avenue, Montrose Manor, died Oct. 12 at 7 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Spring Township, where she had resided since Dec. 26, 2000.
Her husband, Samuel J. Marabella, died Aug. 8, 1990.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Maria (Wojton) Krzyzanowski.
Marabella was employed for many years as a trimmer, first by Mohn Hat Factory and later by Campus Shirt Factory and R.K. Shirt Factory, all of Reading, retiring in 1970.
She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.
Marabella was a life member of the East End Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Marie H. (Amrhein) Hampele and Eleanor D. (Amrhein) High, both of Montrose Manor.
Other survivors include a brother, Anthony Krzyzanowski, Spring Township.
There are also eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Marabella was predeceased by a son, Raymond J. Scheuren, in 1998.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. The Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
