Helen M. Adam

Helen M. Adam, 93, formerly of 433 Eisenbrown Street, Hyde Villa, Muhlenberg Township, died October 6th at 6:19 am in the Phoebe Berks Health Center where she had been since November 26, 2002.

Adam was taken there from the Phoebe Berks Village where she had resided since July 1994.

She was the widow of Arthur C. Adam, who died September 13, 1994.

Born in Bucks County, Pa., she was a daughter of the late William D. and Mary Ellen (Frankhouser) Witman.

She worked as a looper for the former C.A. Wanner Hosiery Mill, Fleetwood for a number of years before retiring in 1966.

Adam was a member of Olivet Reformed Church, Reading, where she worked in the ladies aide and home department.

She is survived by a niece, Anna Kochan of Reading and a nephew, Jack Kochan of Leesport.

Services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Barry R. Galley officiating. Viewing 12 noon until time of service. Burial in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton. Contributions may be made to Olivet Reformed Church, Centre & Exeter Streets, Reading, Pa 19601.
