Helen L. Lucas

Helen L. Lucas, 88, died of natural causes Monday, July 10, 2017, in her Kenhorst residence.

She was the wife of Joseph A. Lucas.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Caroline (Surowiec) Kusior.

She was a member of St. John Baptist De LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

Helen was predeceased by one son, John M., in 1997.

In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by one brother, Bernard, husband of Jean Kusior of Kenhorst, and one sister, Frances (Kusior), widow of William Zerbe, West Lawn, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 14, 2017, at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist De LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, 420 Holland St., Shillington, PA 19607. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the Mass in the church. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
