Helen A. (Seidel) Hooyman, 87, of Reading, died December 13, 2006 at 10:14 pm in St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bern Township, where she had been a patient since Sunday.
Her husband, Richard W. Hooyman died July 28, 1989.
Born in Alsace Township on October 21, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Ammon and Stella (Wentzel) Seidel.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Glenside.
Helen was employed 21 years with the former Princess Royal, Reading as an assistant floorlady, retiring in 1975.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra A. wife of George H. Bauscher of Reading.
Other survivors include one brother, William of Shillington and two grandchildren; Kim (Bauscher) wife of Roger Christman of Chester, Virginia and David Bauscher of Reading.
There are also 22 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her eight brothers and four sisters; Pearl Devor, Sarah Bechtel, Bertha Seidel, Betty Seidel, Charles, Paul, Lestor, Clarence, Frederick, Claude, Ammon Jr., and Robert Seidel.
Services will be Monday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale with the Rev. Bruce G. Osterhout officiating. Viewings will be held Sunday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Monday morning 9:30 am until time of services in the funeral home.
