Helen F. Defazio

Helen Filomena (Romagnoli) DeFazio, 90, of Reading, died November 28, 2008 in her daughters residence.

She was married February 11, 1939 to the late Paul Joseph DeFazio, who died May 30, 1987.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa on July 7, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Margaret (Marinucci) Romagnoli.

She was employed 24 years as a seamstress with Custom Sportswear before retiring in 1980.

Helen was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

She is survived by a daughter, Paula J. (DeFazio) Reppert, companion of Gentry L. Lowry of Spring Township.

Other survivors include six siblings: Nicholas Romagnoli of Fort Pierce, FL; Rocco Romagnoli of Pennsancken, NJ; Louis Romagnoli of Havertown, PA; Rita Russo of Norristown; Antoinette Weiss of Philadelphia and Julie Russell of Philadelphia.

There is also a granddaughter, Ann Marie (Reppert), wife of Mark A. Cieless and two great granddaughter, Brooke E. Cieless and Brianna A. Cieless, all of Coatsville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 am in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading, with Msgr. Edward W. Sarzynski celebrating. A viewing will be held 8:00 - 9:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
