Helen M. Eisenhauer, 88 formerly of Hamburg and Port Clinton died June 14th in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township. She was predeceased by two husbands, Miles Behney and William D. Eisenhauer. Helen was born in Cornwall, PA and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Peiffer) Gassert. She worked for many years at Diener's and Burkey's Knitting Mills in Hamburg and Robinhold's Knitting Mill in Port Clinton. She was a folder and tie up lady. Helen was a member of St John's Church, Port Clinton. She was former President of the ladies auxiliary of the Port Clinton Fire Company and a former member of the Women of the Moose, Hamburg. Helen is survived by two sons: Jacob Behney, Fredericksburg and William C. Eisenhauer, Auburn. She is also survived by four daughters: Grace (Gassert) Breon, Port Clinton, Mary (Behney) Bachert, Hamburg, Helen (Eisenhauer) Swoyer, Port Clinton and Louise (Eisenhauer) Dissinger, Holtwood,, PA., 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 sister: Mabel Luppold, Reading, PA. She was predeceased by a son Leroy Behney. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St. Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
