Helen Corvaia

Helen (Carbone) Corvaia, 96, formerly of Laureldale, died March 10, 2013 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

She was the wife of Philip Corvaia who died February 8, 1970.

Born September 28, 1916 in Sharpsburg, Allegheny County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Giovanna (Deluca) Carbone.

Helen was employed as an order puller with David Crystal for 12 years.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

She is survived by her two children: Frank P., husband of Gail G. (Grady) Corvaia of Robeson Township and Joanne J. (Corvaia), wife of Nelson L. Bowers of Laureldale.

Other survivors include four grandchildren: Philip and Peter Bowers and Matthew and Elizabeth Turner and a great grandson, Olan Turner.

Helen was predeceased by one brother and four sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3121 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
