Helen T. Ciervo

Helen T. Ciervo, 87, of West Reading, passed away April 3, 2013 in her daughter, Bonnie's, Brecknock Township residence.

She was the wife of Victor Ciervo.

Born in Little Falls, NY, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Frieda (Smith) Cunningham.

Helen was a 1941 graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended McCann School of Business.

She was a sales clerk for Pomeroy's Department Store for many years.

Helen was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading.

She was also a member of the Young Republican Club for over 50 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters: Patricia A., wife of Daniel DeCarlo, Wyomissing and Bonnie T., wife of Kevin Shirk, Mohnton. Also surviving are her six grandchildren: Daniel DeCarlo, Valerie Smith, Frank DeCarlo, Jodi Mears, Melissa Shirk and Stacey Shirk.

Helen was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Henrich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church. A viewing will be held Sunday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sacred Heart R.C. Church Memorial Fund, P.O.
