Helen Calabria

Helen (Harris) Calabria, 91, of Mt Penn, died June 11, 2013, in St. Joseph Hospital.

She was the wife of William R. Calabria, whom she married 55 years ago on October 26, 1957.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late James Harris and Despina Frangiadis.

She was employed as a seamstress for Berkshire Knitting Mills.

Helen was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Penn. She had also been active with St. Matthew's Orthodox Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Victoria L., widow of James Commender, Exeter Township and her granddaughter, Katie Commender, Abingdon, VA; her niece Regina Harris and her nephew, Chris Frangiadis.

Helen was predeceased by three siblings, Steve Harris, Sabastian Frangiadis and Theodora Frangiadis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Chapel of St. George in Gethsemane Cemetery with entombment to follow. Friends may call Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. in Edward J.
