Helen C. Karch

Helen C. (Chermonitz) Karch, 93, originally of Duquesne, PA, died on November 14, 2007 at 11:20 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading, PA, where she had been a patient since November 6th.

She was the widow to Joseph J. Karch (Carr) who died in 1976.

Born on March 30, 1914 in Duquesne, PA, Helen was a daughter to the late John and Mary Chermonitz.

She was an active member of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, West Mifflin, PA as well as Christian Mother's Club, Duquesne, PA.

Helen moved to Reading, PA and had been residing there since 1989.

Surviving is a son, Thomas J., husband to Elin B.(Robinson) Karch, Blandon.

Also surviving are five grandchildren; Christen B. Karch, Ryan T. Karch, Gregory M. husband of Jean Marie Kosko, Shawn P. husband of Lizette Kosko and Mary Rae, wife of John Kowach.

There are seven great grandchildren: Luke, Noah, Joshua and Jacob Kosko and Rachel, Rebecca and John Andrew Kowach.

Helen was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Louise (Karch) Kosko who died on October 15, 2007.

Services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 529 Grant Ave. Ext, West Mifflin, PA 15122. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin, PA.
