Helen M Burkey

Helen M. (Sunday) Burkey, 89, of Wyomissing, passed away Wednesday morning in her residence surrounded by her family.   Born in Perry Township on August 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sallie M. (Adam) Sunday.   She is a 1943 graduate of Hamburg High School.   Helen was a homemaker her entire life.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, I. Russell Burkey,  March 10, 2001; son, Jeffrey, October 18, 1961; sister, Irene Wilhelm, October 6, 2000; and brother, Glenn Adam, March 18, 2015.   She is survived by her daughter, Donna Lutz, wife of William, of Mohnton; step-daughter, Lani Midway, of Jenkintown, PA; step-son, David Burkey, of Dania Beach, FL; sister, Mae Berger, of Hamburg; brother, Lester Sunday, of Media, PA; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Katharine Work.   Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 3 rd  at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg, with the Rev.
