Heber Augustus Snyder

Heber Augustus "Skip" Snyder, Jr., 77, died October 12, 2014 in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Ann Louise (Dawson) Snyder, whom he married May 10, 1956.

Born November 17, 1936 in Reading, he was a son of the late Heber Augustus, Sr. and Bertha (Kershner) Snyder.

Heber was employed as a mechanic with Interstate Container for 34 years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling, but, above all, he loved to spend time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his seven children: Heber A. Snyder, III of Mohnton; Ann L. Fisher of Shillington; Timothy L. Snyder of Tilden Township; Todd E. Snyder of Hamburg; Stephanie L. Snyder of Reading; Scott A. Snyder of Reading and Christopher M. Snyder of Hamburg.

He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

Heber was predeceased by his sister, Virginia Fredricks.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
