Harvey M. Dauber

Harvey M. Dauber, 93, West Wyomissing, died Jan. 18 at 3 a.m. in the Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading.

He was the husband of Sheila M. (Flemming) Dauber.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harvey Y. and Nora (Matz) Dauber.

Dauber was employed for 50 years as a banker by the Bank of Pennsylvania, retiring in 1977. He was also employed for four years in the county assessment office.

He was a 1929 graduate of West Reading High School and received an associate degree in banking from Albright College.

Dauber was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, West Lawn, where he was a former treasurer.

He is also survived by two daughters, Suzanne L. (Dauber) Russell, Lake Wynonah, Schuylkill County, and Linda E. (Dauber) Haas, Sinking Spring.

Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Karen L. (Shrom) Meiring, Columbus, Ind.; and a stepson, Glenn W. Shrom, Reading.

There are also six granddaughters, three stepgrandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Advent Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the church. Contributions may be made to Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave. West Lawn, PA 19609. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
