Hartman Avalona A

Avalona A. Hartman, 75 of Tilden Township died January 4, 2018 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Bern Township. She was the widow of Robert L. Hartman who died December 10, 2012. Avalona was born in Tilden Township and was the daughter of the late Ammon E. and Arlene (Geiger) Bordner. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1961 and worked for the Hamburg Gas Company for over 25 years. Avalona was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. She is survived by two sons; Jeffrey S., Michael S. husband of Tina Hartman, both of Tilden Township, two grandsons; Alex M., Tilden Township and Austin M., Denver, PA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13 th at 11:00 a.m. from the First United Church of Christ, 76 S .3 rd St., Hamburg. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
