Harry W. Zickler Jr., 87, formerly of Mount Penn, died July 13 in his residence in Ridley Park, Delaware County.

He was the husband of Mary (Zentz) Zickler. His first wife, Lucile (Snyder) Zickler, died in 1977.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry and Anna (Halbeisen) Zickler.

Zickler was employed for 18 years as purchasing agent by the Atlantic Aviation Co., Philadelphia, retiring in 1980.

He was a 1934 graduate of Mount Penn High School.

Zickler was a member of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Eddystone, Delaware County.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Zickler is also survived by two sons, Michael Zickler, Moorestown, N.J., and Patrick Zickler, Washington, D.C.; and three daughters, Elizabeth and Kathleen Zickler, both of Seattle; and Susan Zickler, Milmont Park, Delaware County.

Other survivors include a stepson, Theodore Florian, Aberdeen, Md.; and two stepdaughters, Jane Florian, Calverton, Md., and Marsha (Florian) Lorek, Whitehouse, Md.

There are also a sister, Jane (Zickler) Iversen, Coral Gables, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
