Harry J. Scull

Harry J. Scull, 87, of Wyomissing, died December 12, 2012 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Laura R. (Czartornyski) Scull.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harry R. and Mary L. (Boudot) Scull.

He was a graduate of St. Peter's Catholic High School in 1943 and Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute.

Harry was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Marines Corps.

He was employed by AT&T, Reading for 28 years, retiring in 1986.

Harry was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

He and Laura vacationed in Florida for many years, where he was able to pursue the game of golf, a favorite hobby.

Harry was very active in the Berks County CYO for a number of years. He was a lifetime member of the Gregg Post.

He is survived by two nieces, Sonja, wife of James Rogers, West Reading and Joan, wife of William Wilson, Philadelphia, and one nephew, Frank, husband of Susan Kremser, Flying Hills.

Harry was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret Kremser, Harriet Leese and Marie Bonk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret's Church, 925 Centre Ave. Reading, PA 19601. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Margaret's Church at the above address.
