Harry R. Zillhardt

Harry R. Zillhardt was born on Jan. 16, 1923 to John and Laura Zillhardt. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen; his children, Karen (and Tom), Glenn (and Jody); his Granddaughters, Tracey, Megan and Kimberly; his Great-Granddaughters, Cailey, Peyton and Natalie; and his extended family. He graduated from Reading High, was an Air Warden during WWII and went on to work at Wilson Products. He moved to MD in 1964 to work at the Government Printing Office.

In 1992, he and his wife returned home to live in Reading after he retired. They have spent the past 4 years living at Country Meadows in York, PA where the Staff along with the Hospice Team took excellent care of him during his final days. He was an active member of the POS of A and of St. Paul UCC and First UCC. He will forever be remembered as a gentle soul to his family and friends who take comfort in knowing he is now at peace.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday July 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
