Harry S. Nelson

Harry S. Nelson, 91 of Upper Tulpehocken Township died June 26 th in his residence. Harry was the husband of Nell Annette Nelson who died November 11, 2016. He was born in Woodbury, NJ. and was the son of the late George B. and Lillian M. (Daubman) Nelson. Harry graduated from Pierce College, Philadelphia and served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. Harry retired from Land O' Lakes, Inc. as the Mid Atlantic Regional Manager having worked for 32 years. He was faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church, Shoemakersville. Harry was a member of the Blue Mountain Wildlife Club, Navy Club U.S.A. Ship 258, Reading and the Hamburg American Legion. Harry is survived by his daughter, Robin wife of William Woodward, Spring City, two sons; Jeffrey husband of Amy Nelson, Upper Tulpehocken Township, Harry Nelson, Jr., Miami, FL, four grandchildren, Aaron and Aubrey Nelson, Autumn Katzenmoyer and Andrew Thiessen, a brother George Nelson, North Carolina and a sister, Juanita Lore, New Jersey. A daughter, Bonnie Nelson, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held in Salem United Methodist Church, 605 Main Street, Shoemakersville, PA. 19555 on Tuesday, July 3rd at 10:45 a.m. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. in the church. Burial will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund at the above address.
