Harry L. Somers

Harry Lee Somers, 85, of Mohrsville, passed away on December 25, 2025 at Reading Hospital.

Harry was born in Burlington, North Carolina, and built a career in the textile industry.

Later, he made home and a beautiful life in Pennsylvania, leaving a lasting impact on many people, as he did wherever he went. Harry was truly well loved. He lived with such a joyful heart, loving life and the people in it so fully that he never met a stranger. He left everyone he encountered feeling warm, joyful, and valued.

He is survived by his children, Teddy Somers (Amy) of Graham, NC, and Trina Williamson (Steve) of Burlington, NC; two step-children, Teresa Chase (Chris) and Rock Fegley (Stephanie); 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Shirley Blanton and Jo Ann Walker.

Harry was the son of the late Frank and Alma Somers. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, his daughter, Tammy Ferguson, and six brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, December 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Rd, Reading, PA 19606.
