Harry R. Kuser, Jr., 88, of Lincoln Park, died March 29, 2007 in Reading Hospital where he had been for 3 days.

His wife Mary E. (Yocom) Kuser died in 1974.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harry R., Sr. and Nora E. (Hartman) Kuser.

He was first employed by Berkshire Knitting Mills as a line supervisor for many years; later, Harry worked in the electrical maintenance department of CarTech for 20 years retiring in 1986.

Harry was a graduate of Reading High School and Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute.

Mr. Kuser was a World War II veteran, serving as a staff sergeant in the South Pacific/New Guinea Theatre with the Flying Tigers Army Air Corps.

He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Harry is survived by one nephew, Barry Bryson, Spring Twp.; and three nieces, Joan Nye and Terry Campbell, both of Muhlenberg Twp.; and Elaine Sowers, Reading. There are also 9 nephews and 11 nieces through marriage. Six sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law also survive him. Harry was predeceased by 3 sisters, Dorothy Brisan, Evelyn Bagor and Ruth White.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
