Harry R. Kauffman, 93, of Windsor Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning. Born in Upper Bern Township on September 27, 1920, he was the son of the late Samuel and Alma (Rentschler) Kauffman. He was a life long member of St. Paul 's Smoke Church , Windsor Township and served on the Cemetery Board for 46 years. Harry was a self-employed farmer his entire life, where he worked on the family farm, Furnace Stream Farms. Farming was Harry's passion and he was rarely seen doing anything other than what he loved. Harry's work ethic and devotion have been passed down to his children and their families, who continue to work the family farm. He was a 50 year member of the Virginville Grange and also, belonged to the Pennsylvania Farmers Association. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline E. (Rausch), in 2000, to whom he was married for 57 years and brothers: Oliver R., Norman R., and infant, Franklin R. Kauffman. Harry is survived by a son, David, husband of Joan T. Kauffman, of Windsor Township; daughter, Doris, wife of Craig Long, of Windsor Township; grandchildren: Janelle C., wife of Adam Fink; Gretchen E., wife of Brooke Myers; and Jamison D., husband of Katie Kauffman; and great grandchildren: Ian and Greta Fink and Daniel and Jenna Myers. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul 's Smoke Church , 2613 Old Route 22, Hamburg , with Pastors Elna Stratton and Guy Grube officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
