Harry G. Armpriester, 78, died February 13, 2008 at home in the arms of his loving wife.
He was the husband of Margaret "Nina" (Slimmer) Armpriester. They were devoted to each other and would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in June. Nina lovingly and tirelessly took care of him through his five-year battle with multiple myeloma.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harry G. Armpriester, Sr. and Dorothy M. (Scholl) Armpriester. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Mark T., Lincoln Park and Michael D. and his wife Gloria, Wernersville; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Michael McGrail, Allentown; and six grandchildren, Sean, Nolan, Erich, Megan, Christopher and Ryan. He was a loving father and devoted grandfather. He also loved walking the family dogs.
Harry was a graduate of Reading High School in 1947. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, West Lawn, for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was well-liked by everyone on his route because of his dedication and friendliness.
He was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church 2810 St. Albans Drive Sinking Spring, PA 19608, with the Rev. Thomas Bortz officiating. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Monday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hopsital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Ignatius Church at the above address. Edward J.
