Harrison O. Secor

Harrison O. "Harry" Secor, 90, of Wyomissing passed away August 21, 2008 in the Reading Hospital.

His wife Josephine C. (Fina) Secor died on January 5, 1993.

Born in Cornwall, NY, he was a son of the late Alfred T. and Maud B. (Reed) Secor.

He was the owner and operator of The Peanut Store, Reading for 25 years, retiring in 1983.

Harry was a U.S. veteran of WWII where he was a survivor of 5 beach landings in the Pacific Theatre, earning a Bronze Star.

He is survived by a son, Gregory C., Sinking Spring and a daughter, Candice M. Secor, Shillington.

Other survivors include two grandsons, Michael G., Lancaster and Brian D., Lititz; and a great-grandson Ryan J., Lancaster.

Harry was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the services in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605 or to the American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Ave., West Lawn, PA 19609.
