Harriett E. Walker

Harriett E. (Posey) Walker, 89, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018, in her Reading home. She was the widow of Eldon Walker who died in 1983. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Alfred G. and Catherine R. (Hiester) Posey.

A 1946 graduate of McCann's School of Business, Harriett was a saleslady for Fun Striders, Inc., Los Angeles, CA, selling sandals and "Bare Traps" adult sandals. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and loved to cheer for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

Harriett is survived by a sister, Edith F., widow of Theodore F. Jarsocrak, a niece, Patricia K. Moser, Bally, PA; a nephew, Theodore A. Jarsocrak, Wyomissing and her companion, John R. Miller, also survives her. She was predeceased by two sisters: Mildred F. Yerger and Gladys H. Kurtz.

Services for Harriett will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, with burial to follow at Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11a.m. at the funeral home.
