Harold Ray Yerger, 82 of Wernersville, died September 16, 2014, in Reading Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Jean R. (Moll) Yerger; they were married for 61 years.
Born in Muhlenberg Township, he was a son of the late Ray and Mamie (George) Yerger.
Harold was employed by Dana Corporation for 38 years retiring as an International Project Manager. After retirement he joined his sons in the family business, Evergreen Systems.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict where he earned the Bronze Star.
Harold was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring.
He was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed golf, tennis, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his bird dogs and raising pheasants.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Susan R., widow of David F. Weisser; Allen S., husband of Lori A. Yerger and Douglas K. Yerger. He was predeceased by his brother, Clyde Yerger.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. in St. John's Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Ave, Sinking Spring, PA 19608, with services to follow at 3 p.m.. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown. Contributions may be made to: St. John's Reformed Church at the above address. Edward J.
