Harold J. Maurer

Harold J. Maurer, 69 of Upper Tulpehocken Township died Thursday, December 7, 2017 in his residence.   Harold was the husband of Mary V. (Rodino) Maurer. He was born in Pitman (Schuylkill County) and was the son of the late James Maurer and Betty (Kehler) Williard of Hegins. Harold along with his wife was the owner-operator of H & M Well Drilling since 1994 and last worked in August 2017. Harold was an avid hunter and a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Tilden Township. Harold also assisted the Upper Tulpehocken Township road crew with snow plowing the past nine years In addition to his mother and wife, Harold is survived by one son; James I. husband of Lynn Maurer, Honolulu, Hawaii, one daughter; Jessica E. wife of George Summy, Manheim, four grandchildren; Brian, Andi, Nicolas Yuji and Nathaniel Kenji and five siblings; Darlene Klouser, Patsy Miller, Ruth Fetterolf, David Maurer and Joel Williard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. A viewing will be held Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
