Harold J. "Akecheta" Cooper, III, passed away January 15, 2022, at the Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was the loving husband of Christine L. (Frame) Cooper.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Harold J. Cooper Jr., Reading and Bernadette (Grubb) Cooper, Elverson.
Harold was employed by Sears as a manager.
He was a warm, caring, selfless person with a great sense of humor who could strike up a conversation with anyone. Harold touched the hearts of each person he met; he offered support to anyone in need. Harold also was dedicated in helping women and children from abuse and also road for Toys for Tots bike run. He was past president of the Pennsylvania Biker's Justice Club and a member of the Berks Sports Bike Club.
As an ordained minister, family and faith were most important to him. He loved people and was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three children: Summear Cooper, Angela Cooper and Sienna Cooper; his brother, Samson, husband of Megan Cooper, Exeter Township; his god daughter and niece, Jade Cooper; his nephew, Jacob Cooper; and his beloved dog, Brutus.
Family request that everyone wear Harold's favorite color purple to his Celebration of Life Services on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be private. A viewing will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
