Harold E. Sholley

Harold E. Solley, 91 formerly of Hyde Park died on January 28, 2008 at 3:50pm. in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

He was the husband of Ethel M. (Price) Sholley, who died in 2000.

Born on October 8, 1916 in Wernersville he was a son of the late Clayton and Sadie (Umbenhen) Sholley.

Harold was employed as a locomotive electrician for Reading Railroad Company and Conrail for 33 years, retiring in 1976.

He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Wernersville. He also was a member of Goodwill Fire Company and Beneficial Association, Mt. Pleasant Fire Company and a life member of Kempton Fire Company.

Harold was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the Medical Corps.

He is survived by a daughter; Karen (Sholley), wife of Wesley Lillis, Sr. of Leesport; a sister, Margaret V. (Sholley) Feeg of Myerstown, two grandchildren and one step grandson.

Harold was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Sholley in 1968 and a brother Calvin H. Sholley.

Services will be Friday at 11:00am. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
