Harold G. Bowers

Harold G. Bowers Harold G. "Bud" Bowers, 82, died Nov. 3 at 11:15 a.m. in his residence in Wyomissing.

He was the husband of Betty V. (Giles) Bowers.

Born in Wyomissing, he was a son of the late Roy E. and Rosie M. (Kantner) Bowers.

Bowers was employed for 40 years as a carpenter by A. Lewis Sherman Co., Hyde Park, and by Russell Angstadt Inc., Wernersville, retiring in 1987.

He was a 1941 graduate of Wilson High School.

Bowers was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wyomissing.

Bowers is also survived by two sons, Barry L., Gouglersville, and Dennis G., Mohnton.

Other survivors include five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Lynn C. Bowers, in 1984.

Graveside services will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
