Harold L. Bohn

Harold L. Bohn, 84 of Hamburg died in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania on January 1st, 2015. He was the widower of Christine A. (Strause) Bohn who died December 29th, 2003. Harold was born in West Hamburg and was the son of the late Earl R. and Mabel E. (DeLong) Bohn, Sr. He recently earned his G.E.D in which he was extremely proud of. He was a member of the National Guard of Pennsylvania and the United States and was honorably discharged on April 20th, 1951. Carpenter Technology employed Harold for several years as a high crane operator retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg and a member of Vaux Lodge, 406, F&AM. Surviving Harold are two daughters, Karen N. (Bohn) Winkler, Lorton VA.Daria J. (Bohn) Travaglini, Schuylkill Haven, two sons, and Lynn B. Bohn, New Braunfels, Texas and Daryl G. Bohn, Mohrsville. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and 1great-great-grandchild. A son Keith D. Bohn, January 2004, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Pastor Burlington Latshaw officiating. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
