H. Dorothea Adler

H. Dorothea Adler, 87, formerly of 1008 Bellevue Ave., Laureldale died June 27th at 5:15am in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where she had been since April 10th.

She was taken to ManorCare Health Services from St. Joseph's Living Center, Hyde Park where she had been since August 2000.

Adler was the widow of Robert Adler who died August 13, 1976.

Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Siegbert and Olga C. (Schare) Hauptmann.

Adler was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

She is survived by a son Robert F. husband of Katherine J. (Temple) Adler of Highland, Maryland and two daughters; Betty L. (Adler) wife of Kenneth B. Shealy Jr., and Christine M. (Adler) wife of Mark S. Weaver both of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Erwin husband of Dorothy (Weidner) Hauptmann of Cumru Township.

There are six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Richard D. Adler who died May 12, 1968.

Services will be Tuesday 10:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Richard Schaefer officiating. Viewing 9:30 am until time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
