Gwendolyn J. Walley

Gwendolyn J. Walley, 88, died August 18, 2017, in her Spring Twp. residence.

Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Anna E. (Hallman) Walley.

She was a graduate of Muhlenberg Township High School in 1946.

Gwen was employed by Acme Markets for 45 years.

She was a member of Rosedale U.C.C., Laureldale serving as a Deacon and Elder and taught Sunday School for 40 years.

Gwen is survived by her brother, Robert F. Walley, Sinking Spring, two nephews: Robert J. Walley and Mike A. Walley; and one niece Donna M. Swinford.

Services will be Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc.,739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Rosedale UCC, 1301 E. Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
