Gwendolyn B. Roche

Gwendolyn B. Roche, 63, Wyomissing, died of natural causes April 24 in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center Inc., Wernersville, where she had resided since Jan. 3.

She was the wife of John R. Roche.

Born in New Haven, Conn., she was a daughter of Helen (Fraser) Benoit, Vernon, Conn., and the late Frank Benoit.

Roche was employed for 25 years as a soft lines replenishment manager by Sears, Roebuck & Co., Wyomissing, retiring in August 2002.

She was a 1960 graduate of North Haven (Conn.) High School.

Roche was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

She is also survived by a son, Daniel J., Wyomissing Hills; and a daughter, Maureen (Roche) Wildman, Lower Heidelberg Township.

Other survivors include a brother, David C. Benoit, Weathersfield, Conn.; and a sister, Harriet (Benoit) Van Cleef, Coventry, Conn.

There are also two grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Phoebe Berks health Care Center, 1 Heidelberg Drive Wernersville, PA 19565. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
