Guy M. Selheimer

Guy M. Selheimer, 83, of Wyomissing, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Reading Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Helen-Jane (Masters) Selheimer and was the loving husband of Christina (Schmidt) Selheimer for 59 years.

Guy graduated from Upper Dublin High School in Ft. Washington, PA in 1958. He and Tina met at Dickinson College where Guy received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 1962. He went on to have a successful decades-long career in finance and investments.

Guy's faith was an integral part of his life which nourished and sustained him. He was an active church member and served as an elder, deacon, and treasurer at three different congregations. Guy loved worship music and found great enjoyment listening to the songs of Bill Gaither.

Guy enjoyed golfing, fishing, collecting coins, and watching TV, especially the Eagles and Steelers. He loved cowboy movies and John Wayne, as well as early rock & roll music and Elvis Presley. Guy also deeply loved his country. His heart was at his fullest when it came to his family and his beloved dogs Baron, Rosie, and Fritz.

Guy will be lovingly remembered by his wife and three children; two daughters, Laura Terihay, wife of Walter, and Elizabeth Krewson, wife of Glenn, and one son, Matthew Selheimer, husband of Polly. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Walter Guy Alexander Terihay (wife Lindsey), Caius Selheimer (wife Olivia), Sophie Lawless, Isabella Selheimer, Olivia Krewson, and a bonus granddaughter Paige (Krewson) Sklareski (husband Kyle); a sister, Jane Lacy (husband Tom), one niece and six nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Guy at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave. West Reading, PA 19611 at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 am until the time of service.
