Guy Edward Lebo, 89, formerly of Noble Street, West Lawn died on October 28, 2007 in his Womelsdorf residence.
He was the husband to Jeanne Ellen (Long) Lebo whom he married on September 28, 1940.
Born on April 10, 1918 in Rehrersburg, he was a son of the late Harry D. and Esther S. (Bickel) Lebo.
Guy was a 1937 graduate of Wilson High School.
He was the owner of Lebo's Appliances, West Lawn from 1950 through 1972 and later, Lebo's Pedal Parlor, West Lawn from 1972 until 1998.
Guy was also employed 42 years with Rockwell International (Textile Machine Works), Wyomissing as a grinder, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of Hillside Christian Church, South Heidelberg Township, where he was a past Deacon.
Guy was a past president of the Owl's Sports Club, West Lawn.
He was stationed in the South Pacific while serving as a medic for the U.S. Army during WWII and received the Bronze Star.
Guy is also survived by three sons, John H. Lebo of West Lawn, Jeffrey P. husband of Christine L. (Reifsnyder) Lebo of Lincoln Park and Joel E. husband of Ann Marie (Lawlor) Lebo of Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth C. (Liss) Lebo of Lincoln Park, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Guy was predeceased by a son, James E. Lebo who died June 21, 2003 and a sister Emily M. Christman, who died May 30, 1998.
Services will be held Today at 11 a.m. in the Hillside Christian Church, 46 Keener Road, (Cross Street of E. Galen Hall Rd., in S. Heidelberg Twp). A visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to the Church and mailed to; P.O.
