Gregory Joseph Prosseda, 58, of West Lawn was DOA April 24th at 2:01 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Barbara Marie (Marasco) Prosseda.

Born in Milton, he was a son of Dorothea (Strickler) Prosseda of Milton, and the late Albert Prosseda.

He was a 1964 graduate of Milton High School, 1966 graduate of Goldey-Beacom College and a 1968 graduate of the University of Baltimore, Maryland.

Prosseda was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield.

He was licensed in 1970 and later employed 17 years as a realtor at ReMax of Reading, Spring Township, where he received numerous awards for excellence in his field including the lifetime achievement award by ReMax International in 1994.

Prosseda was last employed 3 years at Prudential Commonwealth Real Estate, last working Saturday.

He was an Eagle Scout.

Prosseda was an accomplished Berks County amateur golfer, winning numerous tournaments including the Berks County Junior-Senior Tournament at Golden Oak's Country Club in 2002.

He also won the Golden Cup for Golf from Galen Hall in 1986, 1987, 1990 and 1991.

Prosseda is also survived by a son, Gregory J. Jr., at home and two daughters, Tara K. Prosseda of Baltimore, Maryland and Amy E. Prosseda of Boulder, Colo.

Other survivors include a sister, Gay Ann (Prosseda) Anderson of Harrisburg and four brothers, Jan of Harrisburg, Michael, Christopher and Gelasio all of Milton.

There are also two granddaughters, Kyla and Kiara.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield. Viewing Wednesday evening 7:00 - 9:00 pm. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. No public viewing on Thursday in Berks County. Additional viewing will be held Thursday evening 7:00 - 9:00 pm in the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Home, Front Street, Milton. Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Milton, Northumberland County with Rev. Thomas A. Scala celebrating. A luncheon reception immediately following the burial service will be held for family and friends at Revival Tabernacle Fellowship Hall, corner of Old Route 15 and Taberanacle Road, between West Milton and New Columbia.
