Gregory V. Lust, 21, of Parris Island, SC, died in a hiking accident in Tioga County on June 18th.
Born in West Reading, He was the son of John A. and Sally J. (Hameloth) Lust of Reading.
He was a graduate of Reading High School in 2003. Gregory was the cadet commander of Reading High School's Junior ROTC program.
He was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps for 3 years.
Gregory was all county and all region clarinet player at Reading High School. He also performed with the Beaufort Symphony. He attended Inter Service Music Academy, Norfolk, VA.
Gregory was very involved in his church Tidal Creek Fellowship, Beaufort, SC.
He is survived by three brothers, Cpl. Brian A. and Cpl. Barry G., both of Jacksonville, NC, and Timothy R. student at King's College.
Other survivors include a paternal grandfather and step grandmother, Vernon and Agnes Lust of Eau Claire, Wis.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the West Wyomissing Chapel, West Lawn. Friends may call from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Tidal Creek Fellowship, 12 Fairfield Road A-4 Beaufort, SC 29907. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of the arrangements.
