Dr. Gregory Paul Bach, DO, FAAIM, PC, age 65, passed away on January 21, 2022, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.
He was the loving husband of Debra Lynn (Koscak) Bach. They met in 1987 and married in 1992.
Born in Abington and growing up in Churchville, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Kiene) Bach.
He was a graduate of Council Rock High School; Temple University, University of Pennsylvania, and earned his DO from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Bach was a physician in Berks County for many years, where he specialized in family, integrative and addiction medicine. He was well known for his expertise in treating Lyme Disease. Dr. Bach was a founding and 30 year member of ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society).
He was an avid swimmer and diver, world traveler, scuba diver instructor, and a martial arts expert including a black belt. Most recently Dr. Bach was in law school and planning a run for the U.S. Senate seat.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six siblings: Dianne Rogers, Jeanette Pappas, Patricia Sassamann, John Bach, Christina Nealy, and Jacqueline Riese. Nephews Zachariah Nealy, MD, Frederick Bach, and many other nieces and nephews also survive him.
