Grant Gary Mohl

Grant Gary Mohl, Sr., 62, died January 12, 2013 in his Blandon residence.

He was the husband of Valerie (Fry) Mohl, whom he married 35 years ago on January 6, 1978.

Born in Reading he was a son of Erma (Hoch) Reading, and late Elmer Mohl.

Grant was a 1968 graduate of Reading High School.

He was a tool maker for the Dana Corporation for 27 years, retiring in 2000.

Grant enjoyed crabbing on the dock, spending time on the bay, boating, karaoke, the Philadelphia Phillies and cribbage. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was an avid watcher of Bill O'Rielly because he lived in the "no spin zone".

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two children: Grant G. Mohl, Jr., Wernersville and Andrea L., wife of Chris Miller, Mohnton. Also surviving are his siblings: Jack Mohl, CA; Jon Mohl, Reading; Jean McPharlin, CA; Carol Kirkhoff, Reading and Sandra Piggott, FL. Four grandchildren: Talon, Ethan, Camryn and Elle also survive him.

Grant was predeceased by his brother, Billy Mohl and his granddaughter, Emily.

Graveside services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Laureldale Cemetery 4631 Pottsville Pike (Muhlenberg Township) Reading, PA 19605.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House Central PA, 745 West Governor Rd., Hershey, PA 17033 in memory of Emily R. Miller.
