Grace A. Leibold

Grace A. Leibold, 82 of Laureldale, died on January 17, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where she had been a patient since January 12, 2008.

She was the wife of Raymond P. Leibold, whom she married on May 18, 1946.

Born on July 12, 1925 in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late G. Everett and Esther E. (Breidegam) Jones.

Grace was a 1943 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

She was employed as a clerk for Bell Telephone Company for ten years. She was also a secretary for the Muhlenberg School District, where she retired from in 1982.

Grace was an avid sports fan for Philadelphia teams.

She was a past Matron of the Golden Rule Chapter, Order of Eastern Star #390, Reading and past Matron of Cressona Lodge, Schuylkill County.

Grace was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Also surviving are two sons; Scott A., husband of Mary E. (Shields) of Murrysville, Westmorland County; Kevin R., husband of Kristie L. (Stepp) of New Cumberland, Cumberland County; and a daughter; Raelene M. wife of David W. Erb of Exeter Township.

There is also a brother; G. Everett Jones, Jr. of Lake Lady, FL.

She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kristin and Darrin Erb of Exeter Township who she enjoyed watching play softball, ice hockey and baseball.

Services will be on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home with Order of Eastern Star Service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
