Grace L. Madara

Grace L. (Gockley) Madara, 79, formerly of Laureldale, died of natural causes January 27th at 8:00 pm in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where she had been since January 26, 2001.

She was the widow of William A. Madara, who died in 1992.

Born in Lititz, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Stanton B. and Edna (Loose) Gockley.

She is survived by a daughter, Georgiene J. (Madara) Lord with whom she last resided and a son, Stanton W. Madara of Laureldale.

Other survivors include two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Wednesday at 3:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Association for Retarded Citizens of Berks County, 512 Penn Avenue, West Reading, Pa 19611.
